Privacy Policy — Electric APU App

Electric APU, Inc. (“we”) publishes the Electric APU mobile app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

We do not collect any data

The app does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on our servers or anyone else’s. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth to communicate with the Electric APU controller installed in your vehicle. Battery, solar and charger readings travel directly between your phone and that controller and stay there.

Information stored on your phone

The app keeps your settings, the list of controllers you have paired with, and a technical diagnostic log on your phone only. Nothing is uploaded. You can share the diagnostic log yourself from the app’s Settings screen if you contact support; otherwise it never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes this information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.

Webasto Engine (Coolant) Heater $1,800

Heats your coolant, circulates it all over the engine and fuel-water separator keeping your engine warm throughout the night OR it can be used to pre-heat your engine before starting. In normal cold weather brings an engine to around 120°F so you can start it like it’s the summer. Let others at truck stop look at you with wonder after you start it easily.
Helps reduce idling time after starting and prevent damage done by cold starts. Comes with 7-days timer so you can program it to start when you are away from the truck OR to warm your engine in the morning, so you don’t need to wake up early to warm it up. Fuel consumption is around half gallon of diesel for 10 hours.

Turn off your truck, turn on the heater, adjust the thermostat, and relax!
Unit will quietly keep your cab and engine warm throughout the night with consumption around one gallon of diesel for 10 hours of running. In the morning your engine will be around 140F – 150F for an easy start even in extremely cold weather. Cab heating part blows very warm air, maintaining the nice cab temperature.
Also comes with a 7-days timer to pre-heat the engine (AND a cab) before the trip. Get to the nice warm truck.

Longest Runtime on the Market – up to 20 hours of cooling and 72 hours of heating both cab and engine, on a single charge.

Cooling:
Tests performed on a single charge in hot/humid Florida weather conditions. The unit maintained a cab temperature of 72°F for 10 hours in 99°F ambient temperatures. In temperatures like 85°F – 90°F, the unit can maintain the cab temperature of 72°F for up to 20 hours.

Heating:
The powerful coolant heater can keep the cab temperature of 70°F in ambient temperatures near zero. As it circulates hot coolant, the system maintains engine temperature of 130-140°F in near- zero ambient temperatures. And it’s able to do it for up to 72 hours in those conditions, with a consumption of around 1 gallon for 10 hours.
